#TishsTuesdayTip: Use the EMV Headline Analyser

The EMV or Emotional Marketing Value Headline Analyzer is a Free Tool from the Advanced Marketing Institute, which helps you to create catchy headlines! Use it to check out your blog, social media and download titles.

Reaching your customers in a deep and emotional way is the key to successful copywriting, and your headline is unquestionably the most important piece of copy you use to reach your audience.

You can paste in your headline or blog title, and it will be analysed and scored based on the total number of EMV words it has in relation to the total number of words it contains. This will determine the EMV score of your headline.

In addition to the EMV score, you will find out which emotion your headline most impacts, ie Intellectual, Spiritual or Empathetic.

For example when I started my latest blog I was going to use the headline ‘Improve the Visibility of your Website’, which gave me a score of 33%, which was ok.  I moved to ‘5 ways to use SEO to Improve Website Visibility’  and got a score of 66% which I was very happy with. But when I tried a final headline ‘Use SEO to Improve Website Visibility’ I got a score of 83%!

I stuck with the middle headline as the blog title (as numbers and lists also work) and will use the final one in social media posting 🙂
